Professor Mott's Magic Hair Invigorator
This preparation was probably invented by someone named Mott, and marketed by A.J. Green. The preparation was probably bought out later by Henry & Co. of Burlington VT. According to the Wilsons, there was a famous "Dr Valentine Mott" in New York City from the 1830s until the 1860s who left many of his formulas open for others to use. He very well could have been the same person as this Professor Mott.

Holcombe said that the Henry & Co. that was in Burlington Vermont was run by William W. Henry, son of J.M. Henry, and brother of John F. Henry, who had moved to New York in 1865. William was initially in business with Eli B. Johnson (see Henry & Johnson), and by 1899, The business was called Henry, Johnson, & Lord (Loren B.). The product was still listed for sale by Henry & Johnson in the 1872 John F. Henry catalog.
