Cranitonic Hair Food

This was one of the products of Alonzo Frank Richardson, of New York City. He registered "Cranitonic Hair Food" and the associated symbols (see below) as a trademarks in 1899 (TM #32,523). He said he had been selling the brand since 1897. An ad said that the company was incorporated May 6, 1899.

Richardson was the President of the Cranitonic Hair Food Co., which advertised this product during the 1890s. From 1900 until at least 1915, they were listed at 526 W. Broadway, in New York City. According to Devner, the Cranitonic was being marketed by the Kells Co., of Newburgh N.Y. by 1921. On the Hair treatment agreement below the people available for consultation are the Medical Board of the Cranitonic Scalp & Hair Institute.
