John Webster was in the "Hair Restorative" business in Manchester, N.H. from 1866 until around 1876. His business location was on Merrimac. A listing in 1870 mentioned his "Hair Invigorator" and "Magic Whisker Dye" specifically. He also sold some other Patent Medicines. According to Holcombe, "Webster's Vegetable Hair Invigorator" was acquired and subsequently marketed at some point by Demas Barnes. The Hair Invigorator was for sale in the 1872 John F. Henry catalog, and the 1885 McKesson & Robbins catalog.
