Margaret Hayes
Margaret Hayes was a "Confectioner" at 175 Fulton from 1840 until around 1855. In addition to the Confectionary, she started being listed as a "Medical Agency" at the same address in 1847. Her husband Thomas J. Hayes joined the business around 1853, opening another Medical Agency at 146 Atlantic. The family businesses included "Patent Medicines" from 1855 to 69, "Medical Agency" from 47 to 60, and "Perfumery" from 1856 to 66. Their son, Joseph W. Hayes, started out as a "Clerk" in 1855, and eventually took over the business. His last listing was in 1869, when he was just called "Agent."

In addition to their products listed below, they also sold Davis Hyperion in 1851.
