According to Fike, the Coe Chemical Co. of Cleveland introduced their "Dispepsia Cure" in 1864. I'm not sure when their hair products were first introduced. Both Coe's Eczema Cure and Coe's Herbalite, or Hair Wonder were listed for sale in the 1901 Morrison & Plummer catalog. Devner indicated that the "Coe's" preparations were being marketed by C.G. Clarke, in New Haven, Conn. from 1897 until 1900.
