Severa's Hair Tonic
Severa's Hair Tonic and Pomade were both for sale in 1896. According to Fike, Waclav Francis Severa had a Drug Store in Cedar Rapids Iowa in from 1880 until 1901. The business was apparently sold in 1901, and W.F. Severa & Co. was established. In the 1896 and 1901 Morrison & Plummer catalogs, their hair preparations included a Hair Tonic & a Pomade. Fike also said that the Hair Tonics were later called "Arton Hair Tonic," and "Gothardol Hair Tonic," and that they were still in business in 1948.
