Rosewood Dandruff Cure
James R. Reeves started out as a Barber in Anderson Indiana around 1900. He registered a label for "Rosewood Dandruff Cure" in 1901. At that time his business was at 5 W. 8th. By 1914, he was running J.R. Reeves Co. - Patent Medicines. J.W. Knight was the President, J.R Reeves was the Sec-Treasurer & Manager, and James E. Reeves was a Chemist. At that time, they had moved to 11 E. 10th. By 1916, James E. was the Assistant Manager, and by 1920, he had become the President. The last time the business was listed in city directories was in 1927, and the following year, James E. Reeves was listed as a Bailiff. The latest advertisement I found for the product was in 1921. The name had changed to Dandruff Remedy some time between 1912 and 1920.
