Joseph Treffle Gaudet, of Joliette, Quebec, Canada, registered the word "Robson" as a Trademark for a "Hair Restorer" in 1907 (TM #63,641). He said he had been selling the brand since 1886. David Schiller included a description of a Robson bottle on his list of hair preparation bottles. He said it was amber, embossed: "J. T. Gaudet," and had a label calling the product: "Robson Hair Tonic - Joliette."
