This product was sold by D. Skidmore & Co., of Seneca Falls NY. I found a Darius Skidmore in Seneca Falls in 1860, but he didn't have an associated occupation at that time. There was a Celestia Skidmore listed in the 1880 Census under Hair Work in Medina, NY, but her husband was Thomas. Picture 1 courtesy of Stuart Phelps. The #2 bottle pictured sold in a Glassworks auction in March of 2009. The hammer price was $4,750. Add the 15% buyer's fee and the bottle sold for $5,462.
