Mrs. Mason's Old English Hair Tonic
Mrs Kate S. Mason, of Boston, registered labels for this Old English Hair Tonic and also for an Indian Herb Hair Tonic both in 1901. The product was being sold by the Paxton Toilet Co. for a few years and later the Comfort Powder Co. (1926). It's possible that these were the same company. The brand name was registered as a trademark in 1926 by the Comfort Powder Co., Boston. They claimed that the brand name had been in use since 1890. According to Fike, the Paxton Toilet Co. was in business at least as early as 1907 and at least as late as 1922.
