This product was for sale by Clough & Co. of Providence, R.I. starting In 1872 and at least as late as 1882. Jonas Auty, of Seekonk Mass. registered the word as a trademark in 1872 (#165,576). It was a preparation for dressing hair, all scalp diseases, chaps, chafes, itching piles, irritations of the skin, and for use after shaving.
