Dr. Langley's Italian Hair Dye
George C. Goodwin was in the Medicine business in Boston from 1848 until 1892. In the 1850 census, he was a Perfumer, and by 1860, he called himself a Druggust. According to O'Dell, Goodwin formed a partnership with Dr. John O. Langley around 1850. By 1854, the business was located at 99 Union Street, in Boston. They became known as Geo. C. Goodwin and Co. around 1857, and their business was located at 12 Marshall Street. Goodwin was listed as the Proprietor of this preparation in an 1858 Directory. Starting in 1860, his son Charles was listed in his place in the business.

John Langley was listed in the 1860 census as a Peddler of Bitters. He and Goodwin sold Dr. Langley's Herb & Root Bitters.
