L. Knittel's Indian Hair Tonic
Louis Knittel, of Hoboken, New York, registered this label in 1884. According to O'Dell, the product was analyzed by the State of New Jersey in 1890, and found to contain high amounts of lead (enough to make it extremely poisonous).

The 1870 Detroit Review of Medicine and Pharmacy examined this preparation and found it to contain 6.29 grains of lead per fluid ounce.
