Kitchen & Henderson's Hair Preservative
This was one of the products of Andrew Kitchen. In 1837 and 1844, K&H brought a dozen bottles of their Hair Preservative to the Exhibitions of the Massachussetts Charitable Mechanics Association. In 1846 they sent a bottle to the Musical Gazette for "notice." The Gazette refused to advertise the article since it doesn't have anything to do with music. 1850 ads for this product (see below) list John H. Symands as the Successor to A. Kitchen and Proprietor of the product. An 1853 ad in the Vermont Year Book listed a product called Kitchen's Colcassian Ambra - A real hair Preservative.
