| Thomas Jones was listed as a "Fancy Soap" Dealer from 1840 through 1841 at 82 Chatham, in New York City. From 1842 through 55, he was listed as a "Perfumer." His principle business location stayed the same between 1840 and 1849, when he added a location on Broadway. According to Putnam, the Coral Hair Restorative had been advertised as early as 1843. From 54 to 56, he was listed at 51 Walker, then, with no listing in 1856, he had one last listing in New York in 1858, at 202 Broadway. Around 1856, T. Jones moved to San Francisco. That was the first year he was listed there as a "Fancy Goods Dealer" at 164 Washington. In 1858, he was listed as "Patent Medicines" at 185 Washington Street in one Directory and as "Chemist" at 144 Washington in another. The image shown was from a 2017 Glassworks Auction.
