For sale by Jules Hauel of Philadelphia starting around 1845. The product was still for sale at least as late as 1872. The product was also called Hauel's Vegetable Hair Dye.
According to the Wilsons, the small "J. Hauel" bottle contained "Vegetable Hair Dye."
