Floral Balm For The Hair
H. H. Smith & Co. (Norman A. Smith), were Chemists and Perfumers, at 9 Franklin Street in Boston in 1860. Norman A. Smith had been in the Patent Medicine business since at least as early as 1857. The New England Business Directory for 1860 listed them as the Manufacturers of the "Floral Toilet Articles."

By 1867, the "Floral Perfumery & Toilet Soaps" were being made by Edward T. Smith & Co at 17 Duane, New York. He was probably one of their sons. There was a "Smith Brother" Perfumery business which continued for several years in Boston, but I'm not sure if they were the same Smiths (see Leroy's Mexican Egg Shampoo).
