Columbia Hair Tonic
This preparation was listed for sale in the 1896 Morrison & Plummer catalog. They listed the Proprietors as: Gross & Delbridge. At some point either they sold out or they became known as the Columbia Perfume Co., of Pittsburgh. Someone listed some labels on eBay in 2003 including a Columbia Wild Hair Tonic. It was 50% alcohol. I'm sure nobody drank them though!

View Label Although I believe that these labels are authentic, I think there's a very good chance that some unscrupulous individual slapped them on these bottles. One of the bottles I had had some ground marks on it - really inconsistent with a perfect label. Also, these guys look like they were irradiated to get the darker amethyst color. It's really unfortunate that there are people out there doing this kind of stuff.

BOTTLE DESCRIPTIONS
