John A. Chew was listed as a Barber, Hairdresser, and Wigmaker in Philadelphia from 1860 through 1869. His business was located at 37 S. 6th Street. From 1870 until 1873, William H. Chew (probably his son) ran the business at the same address. I had a pair of these in my own collection.
