Gomez Munoz, of New York City, registered this brand name as a trademark in 1897 (TM #30,343). He said he had just started using the name that year. Part of his trademark was a picture of an Indian holding up a bottle of the preparation. He also mentioned that he would sometimes have his trademark blown into the bottles.
