Campbell's (Dr.) Hair Invigorator
Dr. Charles Campbell was a Druggist on Main Street in Aurora, New York, in 1863. Unfortunately the only Aurora Directory I found was for that year, and it was included within the Auburn Directory. According to Putnam, the product was advertised in 1859. The following text was transcribed from the wrapper of one of the bottles.
DR CAMPBELL'S HAIR INVIGORATOR
for preserving, restoring, and beautifying the hair, it has the effect to darken and soften the hair. Preventing greyness, giving a luxuriant, soft, glossy and curly appearance. It removes disease and dandruff, is fragrant and entirely free from any substances that will discolor the skin or cause a stain.
