Walter S. Allen was a Hairdresser and Barber in Brooklyn. He was listed as a Barber in the 1870 Census and he was in the Brooklyn Directory for 1888-89 as a Barber and Hairdresser. Walter was born in 1828. As far as I know, he wasn't related to any of the other Allen's selling hair preparations. Bottle picture and description were provided by Dean Collins.
