Alexander's Tricobaphe
George A. Wright was a Perfumer and Importer of Perfumery in Philadelphia starting around 1838. His initial address was at 24 Commerce until his brother Richard joined him in 1844, and they moved to 23 S. 4th. According to Putnam, Alexander's Tricobaphe was first advertised in 1844. The last advertisement I've found was from 1850. Richard & George A. Wright continued in business together until the late 1870s. It's possible that the product was bought from its originator by the Wright brothers. Their first listing was as "Importers of Druggists Sundries and Manufacturers of Perfumery" at 624 Chestnut Street, with a factory at 323 Union. From 63 until 70 they were listed with the same addresses, but in the business of "Perfumery." They moved their business in 1877 to 272 S. 3rd. By 1880, the company was called George A. Wright & Co., and Richard was no longer listed. Other products they sold included Florida Water.
